About Chef Ulises
Ulises’s love for cooking started in his hometown of Michoacán, Mexico, where family, flavor, and tradition were part of everyday life. What began as curiosity quickly grew into a career that has taken him across continents, from small kitchens in Mexico to some of the most celebrated restaurants in the world.
After learning the fundamentals under Chef Manuel Gomez at Hotel Villa Montaña, Ulises set out to explore the diverse culinary landscape of Mexico. His journey led him to Alcalde in Guadalajara, recognized among Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants, and later to San Miguel de Allende, where he worked alongside his mentor, Chef Matteo Salas, at the acclaimed āperi and Jacinto 1930. These years shaped his signature style—elevated yet approachable, refined but full of heart.
The adventure didn’t stop there. Ulises’s talent and dedication opened the door to an internship at NOMA in Copenhagen, a three-Michelin-star restaurant often ranked the best in the world. Within months, he earned a full-time position as Chef de Partie, spending over a year immersed in one of the most creative kitchens on the planet.
Today, Ulises brings that same passion and expertise into private dining. Based in Moses Lake with his wife Mariah and their daughter Angelina, he crafts casual fine dining experiences where guests can relax, connect, and savor unforgettable meals—without stepping out the door.
